In the PM session, faculty and students are working to position Texas State as an international leader in data science.
Mainak Bardhan
Platform and Applied Intelligence Director at Accenture Federal Services
Mainak Bardhan has been with Accenture for over 14 years, the last four years in the Accenture Federal - Advanced Technology Center (ATC) in San Antonio, Texas. There Mainak is responsible for leading the Applied Intelligence and Digital Platform Capabilities. He works closely with his Accenture colleagues and Federal clients to see how Accenture can bring the latest technologies to agencies with the goal of helping them better serve the American public. Mainak rose at the firm on the business side; focusing on Requirements, Design, Business Process and Agile Methodology, he wanted to get a true understanding of an organizations’ pain points and how technology can assist with solving those needs.
Mainak grew up in the New York/New Jersey area and has a finance background by education, Boston University – School of Management Class of 2006; naturally, he has spent his career with a technology company. Personally, Mainak lives in the Texas Hill Country with his wife Atree, and their baby girl Lana Grace. He is passionate about all things sports/fitness and loves reading and learning new things that get him closer to becoming a polymath.
Larry Fulton, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Health Administration at Texas State University
Larry Fulton is an Associate Professor of Health Administration at Texas State University. He earned his Doctorate of Philosophy / Masters of Science in Statistics from the University of Texas at Austin, his Master of Health Administration from Baylor, and holds three other graduate degrees.
Callie Ball
Texas State University Student, Majoring in Senior Healthcare Administration, Minor in Biology
Helen Callie Ball is a senior Healthcare Administration major with a minor in Biology. She has worked with the program director, Larry Fulton, on research regarding Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications in healthcare. Her research in this field has been department nominated for the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Richard Stull essay competition.
She is also the Quantitative Sciences Supervising Lead Tutor for the Student Learning Assistance Center (SLAC) at Texas State University. This past year, she had the honor of being nominated for the AUPHA Foster G. McGaw Scholarship as well as the TXST Honors College Merry Kone FitzPatrick Endowed Scholarship for continued academic excellence. She is also a student associate in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Central Texas Chapter and an active member of the Alpha Eta Honors Society.
