The Texas State University Development Foundation's net assets have increased significantly over the past 10 years due in large part to contributions from generous donors who established endowments to support university students, faculty, and programs.
Investments
By investing assets, the Texas State University Development Foundation preserves the purchasing power of contributions while providing steady earnings for the University. The portfolio is composed of mostly endowments, but includes other non-endowed funds invested for the long term.
As of August 31, 2024, the portfolio has a fair market value of $130.3M and is invested according to the following target asset allocation.
Investment Policy
The purposes of the Texas State University Development Foundation are to accept and receive, invest and manage gifts, legacies, and contributions covering both real and personal property for the benefit of Texas State University and for its charitable and educational operation.
The Statement of Investment Policy was approved by the Texas State University Development Foundation Board of Trustees on April 28, 2017.
