The Dr. Rich Compeau Endowment for Excellence in Electrical Engineering rewards academic achievement and dedication within one of Texas State’s fastest-growing disciplines. By supporting high-performing students in the Ingram School of Engineering, the endowment strengthens the university’s commitment to preparing future engineers to meet the challenges of an increasingly technology-driven world.

Scholarships from the Excellence Endowment support full-time undergraduate students majoring in Electrical Engineering. Eligible students must have completed at least 20 credit hours of Electrical Engineering courses, maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher in those courses, and submit a letter of recommendation from a full-time faculty member in the program.

Dr. Compeau has also established a second endowment focused on expanding access to an electrical engineering education by supporting students with financial need.

In addition to creating both endowments, Dr. Compeau provided support through an immediate gift to each fund to launch scholarships for the upcoming academic year.

Through these gifts, Dr. Rich Compeau is investing in the success of future engineers and empowering them to thrive at Texas State and beyond.
