Scholarships and Fellowships

A Funding Priority

Scholarships are a funding priority in our NEXT IS NOW campaign and play a vital role in reducing student loan debt and
expanding access to higher education.

Scholarship to Honor a Legacy

The Texas State University Development Foundation has established the Denise M. Trauth Scholarship Endowment. The student scholarships it provides will honor her legacy and help make the university a better place for generations of Bobcats.

“My career goals are simple, I want to inspire and build resilience in the next generation as an educator. I am so honored to receive this scholarship; I’m supporting myself through college and it allows me to focus more time and energy on my studies.”

Impact Your scholarship contributions

Change the lives of our students and help them
achieve the NEXT big thing.

A scholarship surprise!

Edith and You-Kin Chin established an endowment that would provide direct payment for every third-year physical therapy doctoral (DPT) student in good standing.

The program will continue for five years with additional funds directed to a permanent endowment.

Scholarship Endowments Change Lives

The Westbrook Nursing Scholarship Endowment

Chase Jenschke entered college knowing he would pursue the medical profession. His mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in high school which grew his passion to care for others.

Nursing school is challenging. It takes long hours in the classroom and labs and comes with extra costs. Chase, like many Texas State students, is paying his own way, but having a job in nursing school is difficult.

Scholarships, like the Westbrook Nursing Scholarship Endowment, make all the difference. Chase says, "Without the scholarship, my degree would not be possible."

By Summer 2022, Chase hopes to be at the bedside helping patients.
